In terms of company size, companies with less than 50 staff is reported to have the highest average increase of monthly salary in 2011 (5.0%). The average salary adjustment among all companies is 3.6%.

In terms of business sectors, financial services is reported to have the highest average increase of monthly salary in 2011 (9.3%), followed by medical / pharmaceutical (8.3%). The average salary adjustment among all business sectors is 3.6%.

2.3 Pay adjustment – by job functions

In terms of job functions, clerk / secretarial / operation is expected to have the highest salary increase (6.0%), followed by engineering (4.5%). The overall average across all job functions is 3.6%.

2.4 Pay adjustment – by job positions

In terms of job positions, the highest average salary increase is observed in executive secretary (7.5%), followed by operations officer (7.1%) and office administrator (6.6%), all from the job function “clerical / secretarial / operation”. In all job positions, none of them has recorded a downward average salary adjustment.
